Visa Requirements to the Republic of Uzbekistan
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for the accelerated development of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan” from February 1, 2019 visa-free regime was introduced for 30 days for the 75 countries. In the following English speaking countries` citizens can visit without visa within 30 days to Uzbekistan.· Australia · the Republic of Austria · Canada · New Zealand · United Arab Emirates · Singapore · The United Kingdom · EU member states.
The visa-free regime applies to citizens of 75 countries. You can check through in the following link (https://mfa.uz/uz/consular/visa /), holders of all categories of passports (diplomatic, service and civil) planning to visit the Republic of Uzbekistan for up to 30 days, regardless of the purpose of their trip. In order to enter the country, a person must have a valid national passport or another substitute document used for travel to foreign countries. The visa-free regime does not apply to stateless persons permanently residing in the territories of these 75 countries.
Accordingly, the visa-free regime is valid for 30 days from the date of entry into Uzbekistan. Before the end of the 30-day visa-free stay period, a foreign citizen must leave the Republic of Uzbekistan. Exceeding the 30-day visa-free stay is recognized as violation of the Rules of stay of foreign citizens in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Accordingly, if it is necessary to stay in Uzbekistan for more than 30 days, a foreign citizen must obtain an entry visa to the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the established procedure, corresponding to the purpose of his trip. In the following requested documents:
-1 EVISA form (per person). The form is filled online, then printed and signed by the applicant.- passport or document of the applicant, expiry date of which must exceed the visa’s period of validity by no less than 3 months-2 passport-size colored photos-a document confirming the payment of consular fees.The visa process takes about 7 days Citizens of other countries must submit (or send by mail) the following documents:
- Invitation to the citizen of foreign country with TELEX number (this invitation will be considered by the Travel Agency of Uzbekistan in Uzbekistan MAE);
- 1 EVISA questionnaire (per person). The form is completed online, then printed and signed by the applicant;
- Original passport, valid for at least 3 months after the expiration of the requested visa;
- 1 passport photo attached to the form;
- a document confirming the payment of consular fees
Citizens of countries that do not have an Uzbek embassy can obtain a visa at the Tashkent airport upon arrival in Uzbekistan with a letter of invitation with the TELEX number.
The presence of an applicant is not required to obtain a visa to Uzbekistan.
If you are citizen of visa free countries but you live in foreign countries, all documents must be sent by current registered mail or by any courier (UPS, Correos, TNT, MRW, Nacex, Seur, DHL).
The envelope containing all the documents must include a paid envelope with the forwarder’s address, if it was sent by mail or, more precisely, a courier may be sent from the embassy to collect the documents.
