After this intriguing excursion, we continue to Chon Kemin gorge, where you will have the pleasure of meeting a welcoming local family. Prepare for an exhilarating afternoon of horseback riding through the mountains, immersing yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings. The highlight of the ride will be reaching the peak, where you will be rewarded with a stunning panorama of the gorge. You will spend the night in a cozy guesthouse.
Today, we will transport you to the celestial Issyk Kul Lake, the second-largest alpine lake in the world, known as "the pearl of Central Asia." Along the way, we will make a brief stop for you to admire ancient stone inscriptions dating back to 800 B.C., a fascinating piece of history created by shamans over 2000 years ago. Continuing our journey, we will drive through the scenic Semenovskoe and Grigorievskoe gorges, two picturesque valleys that intertwine at their ends. Our final destination for the day is the town of Karakol, where you will have the opportunity to visit the distinctive Dungan Mosque, built using traditional Chinese architecture without a single metal nail, and an old wooden Orthodox Church. A delightful evening and a restful night await you at a comfortable hotel.
Prepare to be awe-struck as we journey to the mesmerizing Jeti Oguz gorge, known for its breathtaking red rock formations, including the iconic Seven Bulls and Broken Heart Mountain. For those seeking a higher vantage point, a short hike up the mountain will reward you with a stunning panoramic view of the gorge. Continuing our adventure, we will travel along the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake, breaking at the quaint village of Bokonbaeva, where you will have the unique opportunity to meet a local eagle hunter and learn about the traditional nomadic hunting methods. Your overnight stay will be at a charming guesthouse in Kochkor.
After a delicious breakfast, our journey takes us to the majestic Son Kul Lake, nestled amidst the towering mountains at an elevation of 3013 meters above sea level. This scenic lake has long been a favorite destination for Kyrgyz nomads seeking tranquility and respite. As we reach our destination, you will be captivated by the untouched beauty of the lake and its surroundings. Before settling into nomadic collapsible dwellings called yurts for the night, we will take a drive to the renowned Moldo Ashu Pass (3201 m). From the summit, you will enjoy breathtaking vistas of the winding road below, as well as the stunning Naryn Valley and picturesque mountain ranges to the south.
On the sixth day, we will start our journey back to the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. The scenic route will take us through the breathtaking 33 Parrots Pass, standing at an impressive altitude of 3,133 meters. As we descend, we will make a stop at Kochkor village, where you will have the unique opportunity to spend time with a local family who will showcase the traditional production process of our national felt carpets. Additionally, you will have the chance to visit a small handicraft museum, which showcases various examples of silver decorations, wolf coats, horse saddle decorations, carpets, and much more. After this enriching experience, we will continue our drive to Bishkek, where we will spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
As your unforgettable journey comes to an end, we will arrange for your transfer to the airport in the morning, ensuring a smooth departure.
