Itinerary

Arrival in Tashkent around 07.00 a.m., the capital of Uzbekistan and meeting with the English-speaking guide and driver in the waiting room outside the international airport of Tashkent. Check-in at the hotel from 14:00 hours. Upon arrival we leave our luggage at the hotel and enjoy breakfast. Departure to start our journey through the capital Tashkent, reflecting its history and modernity:

1st night in TASHKENT

Today we continue our journey through the picturesque Tian Shan mountain range to the beautiful Fergana Valley. The valley has always been a very interesting place for foreign tourists to meet, chat and observe the locals (because tourism is not yet very developed), and there is an opportunity to see real Uzbek life. We arrive in the ancient city of Kokanda, one of the main crossroads of the Great Silk Road:

After Rishtan,we will continue our journey and reach Fergana in the evening and stay at the hotel.

After breakfast we will visit the famous city of Marguilan in Fergana.

Then we will return to Tashkent, "the city of bread". On our way we will also have the opportunity to stop at the valley bread market and enjoy a variety of sweet breads and sweets.

 

Arrival in Tashkent at the end of the day and TRANSFER to Tashkent local airport for domestic flight TASHKENT-NUKUS. Flight departure and arrival time: 20:00-21:40.

3rd night in NUKUS.

In the morning after breakfast drive to the famous Aral Sea, one of the tragedies of the XX-XXI centuries.

 

ARAL SEA - In the 1960s, it was the fourth largest in the world (after the Caspian Sea, Lake Superior in America and Lake Victoria in Africa), and the second largest in the Eurasian continent (after the Caspian Sea). In the afternoon we travel to Khiva 400 km and on the way we will visit the oldest and most famous Mizdakhan cemetery in Karakalpakstan. The subway tomb in it, which you did not expect, it is impossible not to surprise you. Arrival in Khiva and overnight in hotel.

4th night at Khiva.

Today after breakfast we start our journey through the ancient and "Thousand and One Nights" Khiva, an integral part of ancient Khorezm, the homeland of algebra. Today we begin our visit by exploring the 26-hectare complex of Ichan Qala (inner fortress, 10th-19th centuries) in Khiva, known as the "open-air museum city" surrounded by a thick and high wall:

5th night in KHIVA

After breakfast, travel to Bukhara by medium speed Sharq series train (Classic Trains) or by coach, depending on the train schedule. Arrival in Bukhara (Kogon City) and transfer to the ancient city of the Holy and Noble Bukhara. By the way, Bukhara is the homeland of Avicenna (Ibn Sina), known as one of the greatest figures in the field of medicine known in the world. We leave suitcases at the hotel and then start our tour of the historical city. Attention, on the Khiva - Bukhara railway track due to the installation of electricity, we still do not have exact information about the train schedules. For this reason, the train ride may undergo changes to a car or coach. Train payments usually spend for transfer services by car/coach!

6th night in BUKHARA

This morning we will continue our tour of the legendary city of Bukhara:

7th night in BUKHARA

We end our short trip to the holy city of Bukhara, once recognized as the capital of Islam, with an early morning visit to a historical monument outside the city.

 

SITORAI MOHI HOSA PALACE (19th-20th century) On the way we will visit the Guichduvan pottery workshop, one of the most famous pottery schools in Uzbekistan and Central Asia. Here we can see how beautiful handicrafts, beautiful pottery and embroidery are made. Then we will head to the Great Silk Road, an endless desert without which it is impossible to imagine. Afterwards, we will head to Nurata, one of the ancient cities, and find the remains of the ancient fortress of Nur (also called Alexander's Fortress), the walls of the defensive wall (IV-III centuries BC), the Mosque "Chilustun" (IX- XX century), we can see the Great Dome Mosque (XVI century) and taste the water of the mysterious spring of Nurata.

 

LUNCH - today we will have lunch in a real local Uzbek house!

 

In the afternoon, we will continue our journey and visit the largest lake in the country, Aydarkol, which looks like a mirage in the seemingly endless desert of Kyzylkum. It is also possible to enjoy this beauty and swim (in summer, of course). We arrived at the end of the day at the family camp in the desert. Located in the Kyzylkum desert, the largest desert in Central Asia. These tourist camps tell us about the life and past of the ancient nomadic tribes. A calm, peaceful and quiet ride through the desert on camels is a great pleasure for any tourist. By the way, there you will have the opportunity to see the magnificent sunset and sunrise.

 

DINNER - In the Yurt with the team, why not sit around a campfire, listen to magical, enchanting nomadic music and dance together?

The Nurata Mountains is one of the most attractive destinations for eco-tourism in Uzbekistan. It is located on the border of the Kyzyl-kum desert, near Lake Aydarkul and far from densely populated lands. It is a place for hiking, walking and horseback riding. You can take a trip to the Fazilman Mountain Lake and much more. You can choose the length and difficulty of the route according to your preferences, you will get to know the unique flora and fauna of the region. In the Nurata Mountains you have the opportunity to see the endemic wild sheep, Severtzov's argali. In the Kyzylkum you can see a desert monitor, the largest lizard in Central Asia. The whole area is ideal for bird watching. The most sighted birds are griffin, lammergeier, golden eagle and paradise flycatcher.
